In Excel 2003 after Office SP2 was installed, if the spreadsheet uses both
sharing and spreadsheet passwords, the spreadsheet fails to save the other
users changes. At first this appears to be happening, but after a couple of
saves, the user recieves an out resources type error. This is regardless of
the size of the spreadsheet or programs running on the computer. AS SOON AS
the passwords are removed from the Excel 2003 Spredsheet, the saving of
shared changes happens normally just as it did before Office 2003 SP2 was
installed. This has been tested on multiple computers with differant size
spreadsheets. Although all computers where running eitheran OS of XP w/SP1
or an OS of XP w/SP2. This issue exists regardling of whether the shared file
is on a Windows 2003 file server or shared just between client computers in a
peer-to-peer network. No Exhange Server is being used.
Thank You,
