Hi,
I had an RTD server built for me that brings large
amounts of stock market data into Excel 2002 in real
time. Every once in awhile, my computer will freeze (not
just excel but my whole system) while running the
program. I actually have to restart my computer as a
result. Nothing shows up (no error)in the Event Log.
This computer is a relatively new one that has a multi
processor. When I run the same spreadsheets on my
previous system (single processor) everything seems to be
fine.
When functioning properly (95% of the time), the multi
processor machine runs much better than the single
processor machine thus I would prefer to stay with the
multi processor.
The RTD server was built with multiprocessing
capabilities thus I'm having problems pin pointing why
this happens.
Has anyone experienced similar freezes?
Has anyone heard of any potential bugs within Excel 2002
that might be causing this?
Any suggestions would certainly be appreciated.
thanks,
Mike
