Hi,

I have set up various spreadsheets which pull in data directly from a
database, SUN Accounts) via an add in called Vision(manufactured by Lasata).

This generally worked fine until I upgraded my pc to Windows XP and Office
XP. Since then for some reason certain excel files won't open for me in XP.
It just keeps crashing and using the recover function which shows the file
to be totally trashed and most of the formulae are corrupted. However the
gas thing is if I switch to my old pc running Windows NT and Office 2000 I
can open the file no problem.

Any ideas on this would be appreciated as this is driving me nuts. I mean
one of the reasons for upgrading was to preserve data integrity, not to
completely trash the data so that you have to start all over again.

Kind regards in advance,

PK.

Have you contacted Lasata support to see if the have a version that will
work
with Excel 2002?

Yes, there is another version available but I am told that the version I am
currently running is sufficient for Excel XP. I am a bit loathe to spend a
couple of grand for an update when it works fine on the old software.

I think you should demand from them that they provide (free of cost) you
with a version that will work
if indeed that is what they claim..
