Excel 2000 Worksheet Columns

When I open a blank worksheet the columns AND the row both have numerical
names. In prior excel versions the columns were labeled a, b, c, d etc. and
the rows were 1, 2, 3, 4 etc. How can I get the columns in the worksheet
back to alphabetical?

Go to Tools/Options. On the General tab, deselect the R1C1 Reference Style
check box.
