I am having exactly the same problem with excel as other posts i have seen
here. Double clicking on a document to open it opens excel - but it is blank,
the worksheet will not open. It will not open through file-open within excel
either, it is almost as if it is not there. I notice there has been no
response to the other questions - please could someone advise on this as it
seems to effecting a few of us - hopefully it is not some new fangled virus
problem. Hope someone can help.

Hi Reggie,

From the Excel menu choose Tools/Options/General and make sure the
"Ignore Other Applications' checkbox is not checked.

Hi Reggie,

Try re-registering Excel. This is a long shot, because it doesn't fit
the symptoms, but it won't hurt anything. Click the Start button on the
TaskBar, select the Run menu, then enter the following text in the Run
dialog and click OK:

Excel.exe /regserver

You won't see anything happen, but Excel will rewrite all of its registry
entries and file associations. If this doesn't help you can look through
this knowledge base article and see if anything it suggests makes things
better:

Hi,
Try linking the data to a new workbook.

I am not sure of the exact formulas but
in A1
=[bumface.xls].sheets(1).range("A1")

something like that. maybe someone else can enlighten you
on the eaxct formulas.

The source workbook does not need to be opened.

copy down the column and whatever is in the source
workbook will be in this new workbook.
If nothing shows, then nothing is there to show.

sometimes if you save your workbook directly to a floppy
instead of the hard drive, it won't open.

-regards
Mark
