excel 07 user name

at my office, we all share excel workbooks. well some of us just got updated
to 07 and some didnt. the problem is that if someone tries to get in it says
"workbook locked by "another user"". well i went under popular and changed it
to my name but it still shows up as "another user" to everyone else in the
office. How can I change the user id to my name so everyone that tries to
access the workbook knows ui am the one in it?
