MSAS picks up a couple registry keys for this every night
during it's scheduled scan, but whatever it is that is
putting them there is not being removed or blocked.

Please submit a suspected spyware report from the infected machine
using Tools from the Menu

Restart in Safe Mode, open Microsoft AntiSpyware, on the scan page choose
scan options > full system scan (check boxes below) > click "Run Scan Now".

suspected spyware report encounters an error when trying
to submit. the message says to check my proxy settings.
I don't have any proxy settings.
