I am trying to commit changes made to a device whilst connected to it
remotely via Remote Desktop, EWFMGR runs successfully with no errors but the
changes are not commited to the device after it is rebooted.
Device:
Samsung 400PxN 40"LCD Display running Windows XPE SP2
Problem:
Creating a mapped drive via explorer works successfully after being
committed uing EWFMGR.EXE C: -COMMIT if you are plugged directly into the
device and changes are saved upon reboot, applying the same changes from a
remote desktop connection gives no errors, however the changes are lost
after a reboot.
Are there any special considerations for using EWFMGR.EXE from an RDP
session ?
Also, is there any way to restart the device normally from the remote
session as there is no shutdown command available and RDP anly allows a
logoff or disconnect. this means that the device has to be restarted locally
by physically plugging in a keyboard. Alternately it can be restarted by
powering it off and on again but that is an absolute last resort.
Any help would be much appreciated.
