EWF Overlay problem

I'm trying to use the EWF checkpoint command for the first time and am having
difficulties. I think that it is related to the setting for the maximum
number of overlay levels. Using the Target Designer I have set this value to
3, for example, but in the running system but it appears the there is in fact
only one overlay level. Obviously I am not doing something properly. What
is the correct procedure for using the EWF overlay mechanism?

Hi Steve. Could you clarify what mode you're using EWF in? The -checkpoint
command and multiple overlay levels are only available for Disk overlays -
if you are using a RAM or RAM REG overlay, this command will not work.

Also, which Service Pack of XP Embedded are you using?

Hi Matt,

I seemed to have overlooked the fact that RAM mode only supports one
overlay. Thanks for pointing that out. I was trying out the various methods
available to update the image. I'll scratch this one off my list.

Thanks, Steve
