Hello
before build my XPe OS, i have done this :
http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/d...lp/html/xegrfconfiguringewframregoverlays.asp

i prepare the CF by formating in MSDOS and launch BOOTPREP
I copy all the contain of the image folder on a 1Go CF...440Mo used
i launch my device with the CF on Primary IDE, FBA pass without error or
message, system restart, OK no alert/Error message.
Runing the msdcos command prompt, i try ewfmgr command and obtain this :
Unable to find and EWF Volume
trying ewfmgr c: command :
Failed getting protected volume configuration with error 1
Incorrect function

So, where can i check some value/state of the WEF conponent to see where s
the problem ?
Thanks

You can check the FBA log (%Windows%\FBA\fbalog.txt) for any errors in
setting up EWF. Look toward the end of the file for EWF-related log.

There is a How-to section in the XPe SP2 on how to setup EWF on CF,
especially those CF cards marked as removable media:
http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/d...xetbshowtocreatecompactflashrun-timeimage.asp

BTW, an alternative to using DOS utilities and bootprep to prep the CF, you
can use diskpart.exe or the Disk Management snap-in for this. Also, you can
boot off of the first CD of the XPe toolkit on the target machine (which will
boot into WinPE) and use the diskpart.exe tool to prep the flash. Since these
are 32-bit tools, bootprep is not required.

Thanks
