I read from a previous post that said the following should
not be done. However, I did it, and there seems to be no
problems. Anyone else had this experience, or any
comments that they want to share? Thanks.
Situation:
1. Booted the target machine with a CF card using WXPe
system with EWF RAM. Verified that:
a. Files and registry changes are not saved to the CF card
when reboot.
b. Files and registry changes can be saved when using
the "commit" option when reboot.
2. Took the CF card out and insert it to another PC.
3. Copied some files to the CF card (EWF system not ON,
of course)
4. Put the CF card back to the target machine
5. Did step 1a and 1b.
The post that I read (forgot the date) was that if you do
#2 & #3 above, EWF's table will become messed up, and EWF
will not run properly. Is this true? If so, will there
be an error message from EWF? Is there a way for us to
check this?
Thanks.
