Hi, everyone
I am trying to build a XP embedded image that has two disk partitions, C:
protected by EWF RAM (REG). and D: protected by FBWF.
I had no problem build images with just EWF or with just FBWF. They works
perfectly for me. However, I am having problem when I try to make EWF and
FBWF coexist on different partitions on the same drive, which I believe is
possible according to one of the MSDN articles.
What I did was
1. From the development machine, I made two partitions on the drive, D: and
E:.
2. In Target Designer, I selected all the EWF related components and File
Based Write Filter component.
3. In EWF settings, I set number of protected volumes to be 1 and chose RAM
reg mode.
4. In FBWF settings, I set number of protected volumes to be 1 and set the
volume name to be D:
5. I did the trick I learned from article "Make Your Runtime Think it's on
C:\ While it's on Any Other Partition" to rename the D: into C: and E: into
D:.
6. Checked dependencies and built the image successfully.
When I deployed the image, the FBA went through most of the steps, but after
a couple of reboot, it stuck at "Resetting setup Flag..." and did not proceed.
Please let me know if you have successfully make EWF and FBWF work together,
or have any insight into my problem.
Thanks.
..Lucy.
