Assuming that you didn't go to too much trouble in achieving the above, I
would start at checking the DPI settings -

Right click on the desktop and select properties
Select the settings Tab
See the Advanced button - click on that
What setting do you have your DPI setting at: Normal size is 96 DPI.

it is at 96 DPI already. I tried that. I was in a game and when I got done
playing that game and closed it out that is when it happened

Sounds as if the game's changed the screen resolution and not changed it back on
exit.
Right-click the desktop, choose 'Properties' and then the 'Settings' tab. Move the
'Screen Resolution' slider towards 'More' and click 'Apply' to check if it's now
right.

Change the resolution to 1024 x 768 and set color to 32bit.

Now press the ENTER key

When asked if you want to keep the resolution change, answer in the
affirmative..

Mike... your reply to the OP is not recommended due to the fact, "you" don't
know what he/she either widescreen or 4:3 letterbox. I would recommend the OP
post his screen type before you telling him bad advice. Make it a great day.

On the contrary, no one should believe anything you say since you lie about
being an MVP.

It may not be the correct resolution for the screen in use but, being an
svga resolution, it will enable the OP to see all of the elements of the
desktop in the event that the resolution has dropped to vga..

Entirely possible, but to be fair (and I hate to give him any credit) he's
been polite so far and not made the swift descent into swearing, abuse and
name-calling that PCButts so often demonstrates.

Calling people 'Peasant Fool' is not polite; neither is his attitude.

Right click on your desktop once again, select properties and select the
"Settings" tab,

Under Screen resolution, tell us what you see for the set resolution.

Another thought,

Under the appearance Tab, see the Font size - is that set to normal?

I would never use foul language, my respect is for everyone, unless one
disrespects me...Then I will use "Peasant Fool" when appropriate. As for me I
am no one but "The C." here, period! My attitude will always be elevated. I
don't lose any sleep over what one replies to me, I have a saying, "if you
don't like me... I don't have a problem with that." If I can help someone
here then I say it again, it's a free job done well. Make it a great day.
