Everything is being saved to backup drive ,have no more space.

All my data is being saved to my D backup disc and i cant save or download
anything any more.I keep getting messages to erase old and/or uneccesary
files andto remove programs but i dont have any but the basics. Is there any
way i can tansfer all my files to localC disc,or how do i fix this
problem?Please help!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ever heard of an external USB and/or Firewire drive, perhaps
120 GB or larger? Or installing a slave hard drive of the same
size?
