Every message is copied to every account in Outlook 2003

Hello,
I have created 2 profiles and both profiles contain 2 accounts, so there are
4 different email addresses. The problem is that whatever email address
receives a message, the other 3 accounts receive the same message also. So,
that means both of the profiles receive the same message twice which is very
annoying.

I used to have outlook express (office 2000) and that product kept the
messages in the 'receiving account' only.

I do not want to create a new windows account and I do not mind if I cannot
have password protection between profiles.

Best regards,
Janis Pelkovalis

What kind of accounts are these and how are they set up? Do you have any
rules set up that work on incoming messages? Are you using different .PST
files for each profile?

Hi,
I have different .pst files for both of the profiles.

I do not know if there are special rules for incoming messages, I just
created an account and set it up by giving the email address, userid,
password and the POP3 and SMTP addresses for my mail provider. I also said
that mails are not deleted from the server before I have deleted the message
from Deleted folder.

Best Regards,
Janis

If you have two separate mail profiles (Control Panel>Mail>Show Profiles
will show them) and receiving mail in one causes you to see the same
messages when you start Outlook in the other, then they are NOT using
separate PSTs.

As Brian said, if you were really using two different .PST files, one for
each profile, and neither of them shared the same e-mail accounts, there
would be no way for the messages from the first profile to be automatically
copied to the second profile and vice versa. Log into each profile in turn,
then click File | Data File Management to see where your .PST file for each
is located.

Hi,
I have solved the problem now. The problem was my email provider and
everything is working fine now.

Thank you very much, at least I have learned a lot of the outlook product.

Best regards,
Janis

Hi,
I have solved the problem now. After I double-checked every single
configuration item I finally checked the configuration in the pages of my
email provider. The actual problem was there and there was nothing wrong with
the outlook itself.

Anyway, thank you very much and best regards,
Janis
