Every boot it wants the CD

I have a problem with file protection. Every time this W2k DC AD Exchange
Server boots it wants the W2k CD. I have checked the knowledge base and
found a Doc saying I need SP2, Well I have SP4 on this machine (reinstalled
yesterday) and it still wants the CD.
Besides the annoyance I fear that all this copying from the CD is over
writing some of the updated files, as we are always warned to reapply any
SPs if you install any thing from the CD.
Please can someone offer a solution. I have posted this before and have
gotten nil.

Sounds like Windows File Protection is acting up and/or you have a virus
infection that is altering system files ...

Hope those links help

Thanks for the input.
I checked the pages you suggested. At first thought it might be a disk space
proble as the drive with the DllCache had only 350 MB of free space. So I
edited the registry to change it's location to a drive with lots of space,
rebboted and the new location began to fill up. Well I thought that was
good. Waited a few hours and did "sfc /scannow" and got prompted for the CD
again.
The only other option I found is to disable the File Protection scaning. Is
this a good idea. I would rather fix it then just turn it off.
