EVERY 15MIN MY PC (HELP) COUNTS-DOWN,TURNS OFF

i have a Dell pc and it only stays on for 15 mins than it starts a count
down and turns off. this happened once before, i know abort was one of
things i type in, but dose anyone know how to fix this.
i would really appreciate your help concerning this matter, iam grateful
for anyone's help.
the pc has windows XP home ......
