Everest Dictionary is a multi-language dictionary with 31 dictionaries and
over 2,500,000 words.

Changes in Current Version:
3 new dictionaries: English Portuguese standard, German English standard,
Hungarian English Standard Fixed right click problem in Instant
Translator: to activate the Instant translator you have to press on
Control Click and Right mouse click Instant translator automatically
closes after 1 second System wide shortcuts: Ctrl+F12 to set Everest
Dictionary visible; Ctrl+F11 to hide/show Everest Dictionary tray icon;
Ctrl+F10 to enable/disable the instant translator (Windows 95/98/ME);
Alt+F12, Alt+F11 to change language Fixed crashing problem when Microsoft
Agent is not installed Removed 'automatically check for update' Removed
the update program

That is huge !! Almost same file size as OpenOffice.org office suite !!

My post got truncated for some reason. That's the whole shooting match.
You can d/l the dictionary engine only then just the dictionaries you
require.

Wow, what polyglots you two are. With just (American) English I
sometimes feel so uneducated.

BTW, when I looked at this dictionary this summer I noticed that
several English-English definitions were rather weak. (Sorry, I don't
remember the examples now.) Quite an undertaking!
