No, afraid not. The biggest difference between the
standards isn't the connector, it's the format. USB is
usually V1.1 and is 45mbits/sec. and is waaay to slow for
DV. Firewire is good for 450mbytes/sec, 100 times
faster. You might find an external adapter that converts
firewire to USB, or you might have to look for a "combo
card" that combines the function of an existing card with
firewire. You can find sound cards that have firewire
capability. If his sound is built-in, there may be other
options available. There won't be a "cable only"
solution, so I suggest you abandon looking for adapters
or a cable. You'll need a firewire plugin card of some
type, whether it's a plugin or combo card. Hope this
