I have recently noticed on my computers security log that other user and
computers have failed to logon to my computer. Does this mean that they are
trying to get into my system or that their computer might be compromised and
someone is trying to hack into my system? I get the following

MICROSOFT_AUTHENTICATION_PACKAGE_V1_0
error code: 0xc0000064

Your help will be much appreciated,

If the logon attempts are for user id's that correspond to your accounts
such as Administrator, "myuserid" and so on, you can set logon passwords for
each account. If it is XP Pro you can rename the Administrator account to
something else, whereas if it is XP Home that is not even necessary. If
possible post the exact messages (you may remove/change the user id's if you
want to for security) . It may also just be a software error; please check
for updates for all your installed applications and Windows software.
