Event Viewer: obscure messages

In Event Viewer I have many occurrences of pairs of warnings like
these:

Event Category: (52)
Event ID: 4356
Date: 23/10/2008
Time: 08:58:50
User: N/A
Computer: TERRY-INTEL
Description:
The COM+ Event System failed to create an instance of the subscriber
partition:{41E90F3E-blahblah-6E8BAC8BDD70}!new:{D3938AB0-blahblah2-00AA004ABD5E}.
CoGetObject returned HRESULT 80070424.

Event Category: (54)
Event ID: 4353

Description:
The COM+ Event System attempted to fire the
EventObjectChange::ChangedSubscription event but received a bad return
code. HRESULT was 80040201.

Recent occurrences were:
Date Time
23/10 08:59
21/10 19:25
21/10 14:53
18/10 23:04
17/10 16:42
etc

But so far I cannot identify what application caused them.

Anyone have any ideas please? Or any clue as to what these obscure
messages really mean in plain English?

Thanks. At least it looks like it's not down to me screwing something
up. But I read "This problem was first corrected in Microsoft Windows
XP Service Pack 2." Which is what I have!
