event view errors - ntp

I was getting the error unable to synch time with PDC
server so did the net time command and synch with
microsoft.com. I am now getting event id 11 that the NTP
server didn't respond.

Run this command on the PDC emulator net time /setsntp:<timeserverlist>

I use ntp2.usno.navy.mil but it depends on you location you should use the
closest geographical NTP server.

If you have a firewall or NAT device, you either have to create a rule to
allow NTP 123 or create a port remap in NAT or both. If this is not the
case, try 192.5.41.41 for a time server.

Did you also setup the time service properly in AD on the machine that holds
the PDC Emulator Role?
