I'm trying to detect when data is linked into a worksheet from the
clipboard. The document I'm copying from is a managed document from
third
party document management system and is stored in a temporary locatio
on
the client machine. When the source document is closed, it is remove
from
the temp location by the document management system, breaking the lin
in
the target document. I've been trying to detect when the link i
inserted
in order to change it to a synchronized cache location maintained b
me. The
problem is that I'm unable to find an event in the Excel object mode
that
allows me to detect when a link has occurred. I've tried handling th
Sheet
Changed event from multiple levels( App, Workbook, and Doc), but th
event
only ever fires on a normal paste, and not on a linking paste. This i
very
counter-intuitive.
Is there an event in Excel that would fire upon linking?
P.S. I'm using VS.NET 2003, C#, and Office 2003, but this must work in
2000<
