What i want to do is export the security logs for our domain controllers on a
daily or weekly basis and copy them to a central location on our main file
server. What would the easiest way of doing this be.

Hello George,

Thank you for using newsgroup!

From your post, I think you can use Event Log Management Script tool
(Eventlog.pl) to achieve your goal.

Eventlog.pl is available in the Windows 2000 Resource Kit Supplement 1. You
can use this script tool to perform the following event log management
tasks: 1. Change the properties of event logs.
2. Back up (save) event logs.
3. Export event lists to text files.
4. Clear (delete) all events from event logs.
5. Query the properties of event logs.

For more detailed information, please refer to the following article:

manage event logs in Windows 2000 - Export

Hope that helps!

Thanks & Regards,

Ken Zhao
