As of late the RAS server in our building has have had bomoarding warnings and errors appear in the event viewer. Every hour or so we seem to have RAS issues. Here i sone of the three diffrent discriptions that i have on hand:

1: The Remote Acess Server will stop useing the IP Adress XXX.XXX.X.XX(-----------------) All connected users using the IP will be unable to acess network resources. Users Can Re-Connect to the server to restore IP connectivity.

during the time of these errors no one is dialing in.
And whilst vewing the list of leased IP's the Admin noticed that the RAS server had way too many leased IP's. More than we had people dialing in.

The gateway in the building is also trying to act as a DHCP server, and is screwing things up.

is there any document i can get to on the Microsoft website that will help us RE configure ras and tell us how to Set up dhcp correctly?
Or just some advice.
Please?

Thankyou

For configuring DHCP, take a look at following articles:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;301187&sd=tech
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;300429&sd=tech

For configuring RAS, take a look at:
http://support.microsoft.com/view/tn.asp?kb=300434

There is documentation available for configuring RAS and DHCP on Win 2003
which might be helpful to you. It's location is:
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/tr...nol/windowsserver2003/serverroles/default.asp
