event log messages

Hi all,

Maybe it's a funny situation but all event log messages into the event
viewer had disappeared. I don't have no one information, warning or error
log messages to complain.
If you passed by this situation please tell me how did you fix it, ok?

The server is a DC Windows 2000. All hot fixes and service packs are ok. The
server is operational, but I'm worried to restart it.

Make sure that the Administrator and built-in SYSTEM account has full control
permissions on the .evt files at %systemroot%\System32\Config.

Thanks for your prompt answer. Yesterday I decided to clear the event log
folders. Today they are ok.
