Greetings-

W2Ksp2; single site, single domain; When we disable a user, the following
error is generated multiple times per day:

Event Type: Warning
Event Source: MSExchangeIS
Event Category: General
Event ID: 9548
Date: 8/5/2003
Time: 12:01:21 AM
User: N/A
Computer: EXCHANGE_SERVER
Description:
Disabled user /o=Oregon State Legislature/ou=First Administrative
Group/cn=Recipients/cn=JoeSmith does not have a master account SID. Please
use Active Directory MMC to set an active account as this user's master
account.

Is there a way to suppress this error short of deleting the user object?

Thanx
OregonSteve

Steve, I understand that the Self - External Account Permission can
only be set for one account at a time. I am wondering about the
sequence of events for fixing multiple disabled accounts, and I
understand there are two methods, manual and using ldif.

So for the manual method, is it save to assume that you set the self
permission attribute for an account, then close all proerty windows,
go back in and remove it, and follow the same steps for the other
accounts?

As well with the ldife method, from what I can see MS shows an import
file with multiple entries being set at once. I thought as per their
information only one account can have these attributes set.

Thanks
