This event states that the master browser has received a
message from (hostname)that believes it is the master
browser. DNS is being stopped so that these two can duke
it out.
I've checked the knowledge base and have found two
artitcles of help. The first stated that this could have
something to do with your routers forwarding UDP requests
across subnets. My router vendor says this is not the
case. The other possibility is that a workstation, such
as an XP pro machine, has a different subnet mask from the
PDC. This is also not the case.
All my units are fully patched with their respective
service packs. Let me know if you need additional
information. I'd love to get this issue resolved. It is
causing my network a great deal of problems.
Thanks!
