Event id 8

When I boot up my windows 2000 terminal server I get this
error message in the event log:

Event Type: Error
Event Source: BrSerial
Event Category: None
Event ID: 8
Date: 09/06/2004
Time: 9:36:34 AM
User: N/A
Computer: META_B
Description:
The description for Event ID ( 8 ) in Source ( BrSerial )
cannot be found. The local computer may not have the
necessary registry information or message DLL files to
display messages from a remote computer. The following
information is part of the event: .
Data:
0000: 00 00 08 00 01 00 62 00 ......b.
0008: 00 00 00 00 08 00 06 c0 .......À
0010: 05 00 00 00 35 00 00 c0 ....5..À

Can you help me?

Simply means the developer (BrSerial) provided a means to write to the event
log, but didn't provide a description for this event. Check Device Manager
for errors and or non-starting devices. Possibly a brother printer?
