I am getting an Event ID: 7011 with a description that says "Timeout (30000
milliseconds) waiting for a transaction response from the dnscache service.
The Source is the Service Control Manager.
While this is getting logged, Services.exe spikes the CPU utlilization to
100% for anywhere from 1 to 5 minutes. Does anyone have any idea of what
the system is doing? I have run Norton avirus and the system is clean. I
have the latest service packs as that is what all the articles on the
Microsoft KB is telling me what to do.
The event log is extremely sparatic in letting me track Event ID 7011. It
is not repeating on a consistent basis, but repeats at different times and
intervals.
If anyone has any advice, please let me know.
