Hi everybody,

I recevied this error code from my W2K3 SP1 DC. I created a child AD
domain in my forest but on my forest root DC I have this error each time
when I restart the DC.

Event ID : 40960 LSAsrv / SPNego
The Security System detected an authentication error for the server
ldap/mrkdc1.test.com. The failure code from authentication protocol
Kerberos was "There are currently no logon servers available to service
the logon request.
(0xc000005e)".

LDAP/MRKDC1. The failure code from authentication protocol Kerberos was

Event ID : 1059 DHCPserver
The DHCP service failed to see a directory server for authorization.

Thanks in advance

I demoted child domain's DC and everything is normal now. I dont receive
any of these errors. 40960, 1059 etc.

What is the meaning of this ?

Hi,

The reason why this is likely to happen is becase there may be a service
that may be trying to authenticate before the DC starts properly. You can
