Hello,

we have the following temporary problem.

When a user starts EXCEL he gets the error:
--------------------------------------------------------
Source: Application
Event-ID: 26
Description: Application popup: EXCEL.EXE - Application
Error : The instruction at "0x308d0ea9" referenced memory
at "0x01989000". The memory could not be "read".
---------------------------------------------------------
This happens 3 to 4 times per day. It seems that this
error occurs since we have installed Office-SP3.

EXCEL runs under Win2000 Terminal Services on a
W2Pro-machine (SP4). The clients are Thin-clients under
WIN CE.

Thanks in advance
Mike

Hello Mike,

we have the same problem. Did you know any solution for this problem?

Greetings

Hello Carsten,

the user environment variables seems to be the problem.

In our configuration every user has his own temporary
directory (%userprofile\Local Settings\Temp).
You can change/delete this variables by
-> Right-click "My Computer" then go to the "Advanced tab"
then click the "Environment Variables" button.

After i cleare out the user variables i do not get the
error.

Greetings

Mike
