We have a SBS2000 system with Norton AntiVirus V8.0. The system works fine
for about 3 days then stops working with Event ID 2019 errors. We need to
restart the computer.
Our research points the finger at the Norton Antivirus and the suggested
fixes involve making sure all service packs are installed - they are and
installing the latest SYMEVENT files - they are.
We've been trying to contact Symantec but their phone lines (in Australia)
are (probably) clogged with users panicked by the recent Blaster and Sobig
virus activity.
Anyone care to offer suggestions.
We normally use McAfee antivirus and this first site with Norton (client
request) is the only site where we have the problem. We've got a temprary
fix by programming a reboot of the server each morning at 3:00am.
