Event ID 2002 (& similar types of errors)

Hello- I get no Internet or Win Knowledge Base hits that post fixes for the
two errors pasted below. One hit for a different Win OS suggested turning
off the error - but that option does not appear available for W2K.

NOTE: Earlier I had tried shutting down some events to turn off
erroneous/harmless Event ID errors from logging - but that only got me into
trouble with accessing Microsoft Update.

information is part of the event: RemoteAccess,
C:\WINNT\System32\rasctrs.dll.
 
Do you need the counters? Try running;

winmgmt /clearadap
winmgmt /resyncperf

Or if that doesn't work, then you can run exctrlst.exe (Extensible Counter
Listing Tool) from the resource kit and disable the counters if you don't
need or use them. They're for use with Performance Monitor

Hey Dave! I d-loaded the resource kit & after tweaking exctrlst.exe - that
eliminated those logging 'errors' - Thank you so much. So much still to
learn - this one was like discovering a tech Easter egg.
