Hopefully soneone can offer a good suggestion. I have a NAS box that
has Win2k Adv Server on it. When I set it up, I didnt opt to install
Active Directory on it so its still just a member server in a NT 4.0
domain. I have been getting the following message occurring approx
every 1.5 hours.

Security policies are propagated with warning. 0x5 : Access is denied.

For best results in resolving this event, log on with a
non-administrative account and search http://support.microsoft.com for
"Troubleshooting Event 1202s". For more information, see Help and
Support Center at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp.

Now, I have read others posts regarding the event 1000 also occurring
immediately after the 1202. I dont' have any 1000's. I haven't applied
any local GPO's or security policies and without AD setup I definitely
dont have any domain level GPO's causing any problems. The FRS service
is not started and is set to manual. One of the suggestions is this
but I dont believe this apply's to me.

"Error code 0x5 (decimal 5) - Access is denied. This issue occurs
because of the locked-down security that was originally set on the FRS
through Group Policy. When you attempt to configure the FRS through
Group Policy, the policy engine no longer has the permission to set
security on the FRS and does not attempt to take ownership of the FRS.
See Q284461 for resolution."

Any suggestions would be appreciated. Feel free to email me or post
here

My wild guess is that since W2K needs Kerberos for authentication, you need to
make sure that the server time synced with the NT 4.0 domain.
try the following:
NET TIME \\PDCNAME /SET /YES
