I have 4 Proliant servers with identical hardware
configrations (2 are W2K Advanced Server SP 4 and 2 are
W2K server SP 4).
The application event logs are continously registering
Event ID 1010. Example as follows:
Event Type: Error
Event Source: Perflib
Event Category: None
Event ID: 1010
Date: 11/11/2003
Time: 7:42:59 AM
User: N/A
Computer: S-HQ-ADDC-ROOT
Description:
The Collect Procedure for the "Tcpip" service in
DLL "C:\WINNT\system32\Perfctrs.dll" generated an
exception or returned an invalid status. Performance data
returned by counter DLL will be not be returned in Perf
Data Block. Exception or status code returned is data
DWORD 0.
Data:
0000: 3d 01 00 00 =...
I have read article 819716 on the knowledge base and I
have a few questions.
Should this issue have been resolved with SP 4 or is a
hotfix still required?
Should I pursue NIC driver updates before seeking a patch?
Where can I get the patch?
Thank you for you time.
