Event ID 10010

Hi,
I am having a problem with my computer hanging up
occasionally (starting to become regularly) when logging
on to a user profile or changing from one to the other.
In the event viewer I get the following message:

The server {some big number} did not register with DCOM
within the required timeout.

I have searched the XP website for this error and they
seem to go off on tangents about ASP pages etc with
similar but different errors. The event ID is 10010 and
it is somehow related to the DCOM but that is about all I
know.

Any ideas anyone?
