One of my servers rebooted itself last night. After
reading through the event log, it indicates that the
reboot was caused by a bugcheck. I referenced KB article
313169, but it was of little help. Can anyone shed any
light? Thanks in advance...

You may have recieved a Blue Screen last night and your
system rebooted after a memory dump

The source was Save Dump. I guess I need to do a bit more
research on it. Thanks for the direction...

To assist with trouble shooting Blue Screens Windows 2000 has a driver verifier utility.
To enable driver verifier choose, start, run, and on the run line enter the following command:
verifier /flags 9 /all
The setting will not take effect until you re-boot.
Upon the reboot, do not get in a hurry to login. Wait untill all of the drivers are loaded before logging in because the machine may blue screen on the re-start.
If it does blue screen during the restart, it should display the name of a problematic driver. This driver should be updated.
To disable driver verifier choose, start, run, and enter the following command:
verifier /reset.
You may need to run verifier until the machine blue screens again. If you would like further assistance, call support and provide the memory.dmp file that is
located in the winnt directory.
