I have installed numerous games on a newly built pc with
an Athlon 2500 and an NForce MX integrated video card.
The drivers are as current as August but I still receive
the Windows Stop error while playing. Windows XP only
seems to crash on games newer than about 1999. The system
goes to a physical memory dump, and nothing else can be
done. Could this be the result of the video card or the
fact that it shares 32 mb of RAM for a totall of 64 mb? I
have run all of the directx tests and nothing comes up.
Any suggestions would be completely appreciated.

Hi TJ,

It could very well be that your onboard graphics processor
is not up to the requirements of the games you're playing.

Considering that an AGP video card with hardware T&L
and 64 MB can be purchased for about $100 you might
consider adding one to your X-Mas list this year. ;-)

If you want to examine the stop error, there's a page with
almost all the definitions and resolutions at this site:
http://aumha.org/win5/kbestop.htm Just make sure to note
the exact error (including the number i.e. 0x#####).
