Events, by default, will always put the reminder at 18 hours. It is hard
coded into the application.

| setup/configuration issue. But I can't find what to change to make

| What I've adopted as a workaround for now is to setup an appointment
| (instead of an event) that goes on for multiple days. As long as I
| don't start and stop the appointment at midnight, I'm OK. (If I use
| midnight, it converts it to an event and I have the same issue.)
