Can anyone explain the 3036 event messages in the system
log of my Windows 2000 server? These warnings are filling
my system log and I am unable to locate anything in the KB
about them. The text of the warning message is:

The redirector detected a security signature mismatch. The
connection has been disconnected.

Any ideas?

TIA

Allen

Hi Allen,

It appears that you are receiving event 3036 from the source of MRxSMB. As
Arild indicates, you can take a look regarding this event at eventid.net.
Furthermore, since this kind of issue can be caused by several different
causes, we may need further investigation to find the problem.

According to my experience, this problem may occur in different scenarios.
For example, most of times, a bad switch or incompatible NIC in network may
cause this problem. I would recommend you check out the following article
to troubleshoot on this issue.
