Doesn't instill a lot of confidence. I clicked on the MS link to see if my PC
was Vista upgradable/capable. Right off the bat I get a note that says I
need to install or activate .NET Framework. What the heck is that?? Where
do I get it or how do I install it. No explantions give in the trial
dialogs.. Do I have to be a PC Guru in order to test for compatability or
run VISTA.? I consider myself reasonably computer literate but I'm certainly
no expert. Even MS's description of the requirements for a minimum system
contains techie acronyms and terms. Like the graphics card "GPU" and
"Shared" or "unshared" memory and although I can figure that out, some
seasoned PC users (albeit OS Novices) will be puzzled & discouraged. Reminds
me of the old Apple comercial. "Lets see now !!!! "C - colon
-backslash...... "
