I just aquired another computer, and am considering
installing an OS on it. I want to install windows 2000
server on this computer, but I already have the copy
installed on my other computer.
The main reason I want to do this is so I can have both
servers as terminal service hosts (so I can control them
from a third computer using remote desktop).
If I read the eula correctly, it says something about
only having permission to install on one computer.
Do I really have to buy another copy of the CD, or is
there a part of the eula I haven't read?

If no, then is it possible to set up windows 2000
professional to be a terminal service host?

Greetings --

As it has *always* been with *all* Microsoft operating systems,
it's necessary (to be in compliance with both the EULA and copyright
laws, if not technically) to purchase one Win2K license for each
computer on which it is installed.

3 good answers to the question so far. But does license = CD? Do you
have to buy another retail box, or can you just purchase the COA?

I've been under the impression that just purchasing the COA was enough.
Once you had that, it was caveat emptor on where you got your media.

Greetings --

The COA and Product Key _is_ the license, and the installation CD
is superfluous. You can probably find a used copy of Win2K on eBay,
but be careful - there are a lot of scams there, as well.

With WinXP, Microsoft introduced the option to simply purchase
additional licenses at a 15% discount. That offer doesn't seem to
have been extended backwards to Win2K, so the only sort of multiple
licensing sales option available for Win2K are the Open/Select Volume
licensing plans, which probably aren't what you need.
