This is email I sent their tech support. Maybe someone here knows what to
do. Thanks

I downloaded and installed eTrust EZ Armor anti-virus and firewall on
my computer as part of the deal offered through Roadrunner ( one year free)
, but decided I didn't want to keep it installed on my computer. I went to
add/remove programs and uninstalled it from my computer. My problem is that
the following file is still on my computer from eTrust EZ Armor : vsmon.exe
When I move this file to my recycle bin, I no longer have access to the
internet or email, so I don't dare delete it and have to restore it from the
recycle bin. One of the reasons I didn't like your product is that it would
not allow me access to the following site:
http://www.google.com/imghp?hl=en&tab=gi&q= which is the google image
search. This is more control of my computer than I wish to relinquish.

I don't have the answer as to how to remove it. But with the EZ Armor RR
2.4 version, I just followed that link successfully.

Have you removed the checkmark from the "use a proxy server.." in
your Internet Explorer ~ Properties ~ Connections ~ Settings dialog
box? When I installed a proxy, it changed this setting - but when I
uninstalled it, it did not change it back. Maybe you are seeing a similar
effect.

vsmon.exe was not easily removed when I ceased using ZA years ago.
If it is checked in msconfig, uncheck it. Then is DOS, try deleting
it. Make a backup copy first as it will not go to the recycle bin.

I tried 3 different browsers and had no problem getting to the
referenced google url, even using OffBy1, a 1meg browser.
