eTrust EZ Antivirus 7.2 - why are the tray icons still blocked (RC1/RC2)?

I have installed the aforementioned AV-software and the two
related tray icons are blocked in RC1 and now in RC2. What
other AV-software will work without such annoyances? AVG
refuses to install. Oh well, it's still funny with Vista and AV-soft-
ware, but that's why we install a pre-release OS, right ;-)

Tried that, un- and reinstalled but to no avail. Still the tray-apps
are blocked. Anyway, as long as the software is active -is it? -
I don't care to much.

Avast is one antivirus that works flawlessly, at least under 32 bit
installs.

And under x64 too :)

Right!

Yet Symantec and McAfee say that they can't develop their products because
Microsoft is blocking them with their new security implementations.

Maybe it is time for these two companies to hire new coders. (-:

PC-cillan has a beta available (14.56) that works with Vista. I had to
install it after my Norton Anti-Virus refused to install and Symantec didn't
seem too concerned about updating its software. Typical.

Thanks for the replies. I'll stick with ezAV for the moment and moni-
tor this group further on this topic :-)
