Ethernet or USB adaptors that plug into wall outlets

Does anyone know where I can find an adaptor that plugs into a regular power
outlet which can connect to my computer via a thernet or USB cable? I've
heard that these adaptors are out there and that they allow you to have
internet access in any room that has a power outlet in the wall. I currently
have a wireless network but I find that the signal isn't very strong and it
disconnects frequently.
