The subject line pretty much says it all, but here are the details. I have a
Dell 2450 server with Windows 2000 Server SP4, all the atest patches. The
server occasionally just stops talking to the network. It cannot ping anything
and nothing can ping it. No errors display. No event log messages are
generated. Stopping and restarting services and drivers does not help.
Disabling and re-enabling the card does not help. I have tried replacing the
card, even with a different model from a different manufacturer with a
different driver. Nothing works so far. The only thing that makes the server
talk to the network again is rebooting it. Does anyone have ANY idea what I
can do to make this server work without formatting and rebuilding from scratch?
