You can watch for messages in the eternal-september.support group
carried by other servers besides e-s such as aioe (no reg), solani,
mixmin, dizum.

The website has an email address to contact Ray/Wolfgang if you think he
doesn't know yet.

Looks like a database failure.

Looks like a database failure.

It's back up but it seems to be behind on some messages.

That is the reason there are two newsgroup accounts on my computer.
When one is down the other works, So far they have never been down at
the same time.

Which one is the second account? I think I'll take a second one too.

netnews.aioe.org

news.eternal-september.org

I beleive there is a registration, and I don't beleive it cost.

There is no registration for AIOE.

Port and IP details here.

http://www.aioe.org/

AIOE uses "filter rules", and the error messages you get, occasionally
require some explanation. You cannot send the same message text twice - all
posts have a hash calculated, to prevent spamming of identical messages. Of
course, a spammer uses an automatic tool to change the body of each
message, so such a filter rule is relatively useless. But that rule
does serve to snag regular users just trying to get it to work.

When you see an error with "Banned" in the result, it usually means
a particular news group is closed to posting. It's not the user who
is banned - AIOE has temporarily modified posting access to that one
group. This is done all the time, to control spamming or abuse.

It's an "open" server, but with a lot of filtering rules layered
on top. Even line length is monitored, making it difficult to
respond to (malformed) Google Groups messages. You'll soon get the
hang of it.

That is an evident failure on the part of the IT team at the Murphy's
Law Center.

One server is in Italy, the other in Germany.

Murphy's car won't go that far, on one tank of gas.

You forget how magic Murphy's transportation options are.

He can make full use of the Einstein Podolsky Rosen Paradox.
