Hi All,
Any news on whether a Windows 2003 version of the AD Branch Office
Deployment Guide will be coming soon?
The current W2K guide was incredibly useful for the success design and
implementation of large complex AD/deployment and though a number of the KCC
scalability problems have been overcome with Windows 2003, a similar guide
would be useful.
The most tantalising reference I've seen to date was in a tech-ed
presentation by Andreas Luther (AD product manager I think) where he
explored various branch office features of W2003 AD. In particular he
touched on ways of tuning the W2003 KCC to handle large branch office
scenarios with a central datacentre and numerous branch office sites - even
though the KCC scales, it still needs a bit of tweaking. The presentation
ended with a statement that the W2003 Branch Office Deployment Guide was
being worked on.
This was about a year ago. Anyone have any further news?
