Help! Such a simple question! I need to email a document to someone. How can
I find out what size it is, so that it does not overload their in-box? (I
can't believe finding this out is SO difficult: getting to here has taken me
three days). And while I am here,
I am having problems with inserting footnotes: is there any simple answer,
please? My documents simply won't accept the insertion of footnotes: there
must be an overriode somewhere.

I presume that these are Word documents? You may want to ask the
question in a Word newsgroup; this newsgroup is for a different
program, Microsoft Access.

The size of the document is visible in Windows Explorer or in My
Documnents if you use the View menu option to change the default view
to "View Details". This isn't exactly the size of the attachment but
it will be very close.
